Hartadinata Abadi Exports Gold Jewelry to India

PT Hartadinata Abadi Tbk (HRTA) exports gold jewelry to India. This first export is an exclusive collaboration with Kundan Care Product LTD (Kundan). Main Director of Hartadinata Abadi Sandra Sunanto is optimistic that export activities can increase HRTA company’s business growth in 2023.

“HRTA is targeted to get additional sales of 400-500 kilograms of gold per month, from the export of 91 percent gold jewelry to Kundan. Starting from March 2023,” explained Sandra in a written statement (16/03/2023).

Reported by tempo.co, Sandra said that HRTA was ready to become a partner for the Government of Indonesia. Especially in the success of the downstream program in the Indonesian gold industry.

According to her, the downstream program can be the key to be able to generate higher added value for gold products. This added value will ultimately contribute positively for supporting Indonesia’s foreign exchange.

In addition, exports of jewelry and gold bars have now become commodities that support Indonesia’s current non-oil and gas exports. With this, Sandra believes that HRTA can contribute actively to the gold industry in Indonesia.

She explained that the commercial value of gold jewelry export transactions. It estimated to contribute USD 25 to 31 million per month to the company’s consolidated income. As of mid-March 2023, HRTA had recorded gold jewelry export sales of US$ 19 million.

“The company have made strategic achievements. HRTA has succeeded in strengthening its position as the most integrated gold jewelry and gold bar company. From the midstream to downstream industries in Indonesia,” said Sandra.
