Temanggung Exports Coffee to International Markets

Temanggung has succeeded in exporting its coffee to the international market. These coffee entrepreneurs from Temanggung Regency, Central Java, export robusta and arabica coffee to a number of countries. Among them are Egypt, Turkey, Kuwait, and Dubai.

According to antaranews.com, The owner of CV Kwadungan Java Coffee (KJC) Zainal Arifin said that his party sent coffee to Egypt on Sunday. His party exported two containers, each containing 19.2 tons of coffee. He explained that his party exports coffee directly to the destination country, or not through intermediaries (25/12/2022).

“Tomorrow Monday (26/12) we will export 18 tons of coffee to Iran for the first time,” he added. He said the price of ose coffee exported to a number of countries was an average of IDR 40,000/ Kg.

Zainal said that in September, his party succeeded in exporting to Turkey. His party should also export coffee to the country this month. However, orders for export have reached their limit. As a result, his party can only export again to Turkey in early January 2023.

In October, his party took part in the International Trade Expo Indonesia 2022 exhibition at Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) City, Tangerang with “Kopi Berteman”. In that exhibition, his party managed to get an order from the Netherlands.

“In January 2023 we sent it to the Netherlands on behalf of Kopi Berteman, which has now become a cooperative. Delivery to the Netherlands is in the initial stages asking for 1 ton and in the second month asking for 10 tons,” explained Zainal.
