Garuda Indonesia Supports North Maluku Cocoa Exports

Garuda Indonesia supports the economy of North Maluku by accommodating exports of cocoa commodities. Commodities originating from the Sula Islands will be sent to Glasgow, Scotland.
“A total of 186 kilograms of chocolate from the Sula Islands were exported from Ternate to Glasgow. With the Jakarta and Dubai routes. This commodity was transported today by Garuda Indonesia flight GA649 from Ternate – Jakarta. It is scheduled to arrive in Glasgow the next day,” said Garuda Indonesia General Manager Ternate Dina Nurjanah (08/06/2023).
Reported by antaranews.com, Dina said that air transportation support is certainly needed to optimize the duration of product delivery. So that the quality of the product is well maintained until it reaches the destination country.
Dina also sees this export activity as an important key to increasing Regional Original Income (PAD) in the North Maluku region. She hopes that many business actors in North Maluku will expand their market to the international level.
North Maluku Export Record
The Ternate Customs Office noted that during January until now, business actors in the North Maluku region have been intensively exporting. Exported commodities are superior commodities, ranging from plantation products to fisheries. Head of Ternate Customs and Excise Shinta D Arini stated that her party had recorded eight exports.
The Fish Quarantine Station for Quality Control and Safety of Fishery Products in Ternate recorded exports of North Maluku fishery commodities reaching IDR 56.758 billion. This achievement consisted of live fish and non-live fish commodities.
For live fish commodities reached 12,608 tails, and non-live fish commodities reached 469.067 kilograms. Non-live commodities that were exported namely jellyfish reached 2,081,913 kilograms, squid 1,678,981 kilograms, tuna 1,336,121 kilograms, and skipjack tuna 1,223,440 kilograms.
Meanwhile, live commodities such as eel 97,500 kilograms, lobster 61,570 kilograms, and nener 30,000 kilograms. Then followed by live grouper 26.320 kilograms, and mangrove crabs 24.876 kilograms.
