The commodity super cycle which has soared quite high is currently hitting the coal industry. This phenomenon occurs due to product scarcity or increasing demand (11/09/2023).
Reported by cnbcindonesia.com, this trend period is considered shorter than previous years. Investment and economic growth are considered to have an influence in this period. This increasingly short commodity cycle is happening all over the world. As a result, it has an impact on demand and supply.
Even though they are faced with a number of challenges, many coal commodity companies remain optimistic about the remainder of 2023. One of them is PT Bayan Resources Tbk (BYAN). This company claims to have prepared various long-term strategies until 2027.
“We have a long-term strategy to expand production in anticipation of future coal challenges. We have been investing in infrastructure for the last three years and will complete it at the end of this year.” said PT Bayan Resources Tbk Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Alastair Gordon Christopher McLeod.
Bayan Resource’ optimism in 2023 is also supported by export demand to several countries. Gordon explained that Bayan Resources has three main export destination countries, namely the Philippines, China, and India.
