Arsari Tambang Tin Metal Sales Reach 5,342 Tons

Arsari Tambang (AT) recorded sales of refined tin reaching 5,342 tons throughout 2022. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) AT Aryo Djojohadikusumo said that this number came from overall results of the tin sector companies under AT. Among them are PT Mitra Stania Prima (MSP), PT Mitra Stania Kemingking (MSK), PT Mitra Stania Bemban (MSB), and PT Aega Prima.

According to industri.kontan.co.id, Aryo explained that last year’s tin production from PT MSP reached 3,359 tons. Followed by PT MSK with 1,023 tons, and PT Aega Prima with 960 tons.

“PT Mitra Stania Bemban is preparing the necessary documents. This document is used for the preparation of the RKAB (Work Plan and Expenditure Budget),” he said through an official statement (26/01/2022).

Aryo also said that his company is optimistic that tin production will increase again. Despite the issue of world economic recession, he believe in a better future for Indonesia tin industry. To ensure production increasement, the company’s other subsidiaries are continuing the exploration program. This program is expected to increase resources and reserves for the continuation of AT’s business.

Indonesia Tin Industry

Indonesia has long been known as one of the world’s main tin producers. Most of the mineral resource reserves are in the Bangka Belitung Islands. This area can be called the largest tin area in Indonesia.

Next, in the Bangkinang area, Riau Province. In the Riau Archipelago there is also a village, which is the largest tin producer in Indonesia. The name of the village is Dabo which is located on Singkep Island.

Meanwhile, Indonesia’s tin reserves, according to data from the United State Geological Survey (USGS), are estimated to reach 800,000 tons in 2021. This number also makes Indonesia the second largest owner of tin reserves in the world after China. In 2021, the total production of Indonesian tin commodities is 83,000 tons. This amount is equivalent to 26 percent of the world’s total mining production.
